Experience gained from real work

In October 2016, AUMRAJ Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was engaged to deliver structured cabling for ASSOCHAM’s new facility in New Delhi. The system was planned to support 10G applications. The existing raceways had been designed for CAT 6 cabling, while the project required CAT 6A, and the facility was scheduled to open within a month.

AUMRAJ redesigned the raceway layout to reuse existing routes where possible and add alternate routes where needed, reducing the rework required for CAT 6A installation. The team installed an end-to-end CAT 6A solution using AMP NETCONNECT products, selected in part for their availability within the project’s short schedule. Unloaded angled jack panels were specified to save rack space and allow outlet replacement without disturbing adjacent ports. AUMRAJ also designed the server and hub room layouts, including cable trays and PAC unit placement, and completed the installation of the passive components.

Vara Fujisoft required highly available core switching and backbone connectivity, secure separation between corporate and guest networks, guest Wi-Fi throughout the office, and perimeter security.

AUMRAJ configured a Fortinet 500E firewall for perimeter security and a high-availability core with Fortinet Layer 3 switches. Fortinet Layer 2 access switches in hub rooms across multiple floors connected to the core over redundant fiber links. The configuration included VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to provide loop-free connectivity. Indoor and outdoor Fortinet access points provided guest wireless access, with guest and corporate traffic logically separated using VLANs and access control lists (ACLs).
